I have decided that I will take a monthly splurge to keep my sanity here in Taiwan. My last splurge was the two weeks I took in August to be with Gavin. This month is almost at an end and on a spur of the moment decision I thought I might attempt an evening of culture at CKS Memorial.
I have been attempting to attend one of several clarinet recitals I have read about. Last night I was turned away again because there were no tickets. Rather than taking defeat I asked if there were any seats available for another performance. I ended up attending the Taipei Symphony Orchestra’s monthly concert. It featured a solo violinist that left me with shivers.
