I still miss Taipei and the sodden grey air. I miss driving my scooter down the wild streets and the harsh glare of the sun. I miss freshly blended fruit-juice and crisp wax apples. I miss the small slobbery kisses from kindergarten children and singing loudly in the streets. I miss typhoon days that rattle apartment windows and comfortable coffee shops with enigmatic owners. I miss watching people in parks play and dance together at dusk in.
Taiwan is a different world and Canada is still foreign.
