it's hot and it's inviting to go dancing with the sun
a daring chance to invite the pain
designed to capture one
and when the day is over
your feet a sullen throb
your eyes ablaze with hope
sweep the frenzied mob
the silence is deafening
the night absorbs your heat
and alone you must shamble
on cold and frozen feet
standing in the midst of the river
it moves to swift to bare
scouring, sifting, burning
almost unaware
rage if you must rage
scream unto the stars
take what pain gives this day
until you dance again
a daring chance to invite the pain
designed to capture one
and when the day is over
your feet a sullen throb
your eyes ablaze with hope
sweep the frenzied mob
the silence is deafening
the night absorbs your heat
and alone you must shamble
on cold and frozen feet
standing in the midst of the river
it moves to swift to bare
scouring, sifting, burning
almost unaware
rage if you must rage
scream unto the stars
take what pain gives this day
until you dance again
