I hurried to work today, wondering how my friendly grey fuzz-ball made it through the weekend. I suppose it was a foregone conclusion, the bunny has escaped or been set free. His cage sits forlornly where I left it last, the door dangling open accusingly.
There is a large number of stray and starving dogs in the area, if bunny was freed he really doesn't have a fighting chance. A part of me cries out that I wasn't able to help him and that I should have taken the poor critter to my home. I know I did my best, but it wasn't good enough.

Why are people so cruel to abandon helpless animals?
