My Taiwan Adventure

I survived
Greetings All,

Well I just survived my first typhoon and I'm safe and a bit damp. Haiting was big and wet and a pain in the butt if you ask me. What I've learned is that typhoons are big storms where the wind hammers at the windows relentlessly. Occasionally the whole building shakes with the ferocity of the screaming air. The rain slams against structures like a ravenous dog lunging for a slab of meat just out of reach. It is both exhilerating and exhausting. After a short restless 5 hours of sleep I bailed 13 garbage cans full of water out of my bedroom apartment. I'll be glad to move somewhere where the windows don't leak quite so much!

Cheers All,
T. Destiny
